How to Make a Living as a Ghost Writer
Good Story!— January 25, 2011 9:37 a.m.
San Diego Gains Jobs, but Unemployment Rate Still above 10%
"Miss Management" is also very evident in Washington DC... Most of our Leaders are raking in huge donations thanks to the SCOTUS from BIG Corp.'s and Big Wall Street then will leave office wealthy! To me that is our Country's #1 internal problem!— January 25, 2011 9:35 a.m.

That may be trues but at least they will be hiring others to staff them, work on them and pay taxes on them. + For all those that are not Billionaires, this would allow folks to purchase what used to be called second homes and that would help the housing market for the reasons listed above. BI'm talking about some tax relief for those not in the upper 2% of the economy, they are doing A-OK already!— January 24, 2011 8:20 a.m.

What would kick start the Housing and Comm. Real Estate markets, which would intern help the job markets start its "recovery" is restoring the tax deductions for owning multiple properties! The folks with access to credit and or savings would then be more inclined to buy houses and hire other folks to fix them up. These houses would then be off the "empty" and foreclosed listing and set the standard for houses to be sold. Imagine if every house sold was required to have some basic energy and water improvements! This in my opinion would restart our housing market and thereby our recovery!— January 23, 2011 7:11 a.m.

I agree, these numbers are trying to paint a rosy picture but to me they are a sign that real mid to high level paying jobs are not being created! If EDD had real "improvement" info they would be shouting it from their rooftop! Show us the pay breakdown of these "created" jobs (that are not seasonal) vs. several years ago, then we would be able to see a much clearer picture of SD's "REAL" job market! I bet that "Trend" chart is still going down, especially when adjusted for the inflation of food and fuel prices. I think like SD crime numbers, we hear and read one thing but the feeling on the street is something very different! As for me, I trust my eyes and gut feelings way more than "Gov't." stats that have been shown to be way off in the past...— January 22, 2011 11:44 a.m.

How about choosing the date by private email through the Reader, so we do not get any Phobogger party crashers? For myself, I'm thinking meet up with those from SD that hight want to carpool toward the border, picking up folks along the way., Then say at 10 AM, walking across the border to meet up with RFG and lots of FUN; then back by 2 PM. as a starter concept of when, and where. I know the Taco shop near the taxi stand has good taco's... + Maybe the Reader would fly Don B. in for "Good Luck"...— January 22, 2011 7:45 a.m.
