San Onofre radiation study imminent
Long overdue study will reveal the inherent dangers of this dangerous technology. Just wait until the Fukushima radiation gets here from ocean currents.— October 30, 2013 6:36 a.m.
Convention center liars expose themselves
A real eye-opener, Don.— October 10, 2013 11:46 a.m.
Ask Greece about economic gains from Olympics
We like to watch violence. I'd like to run an fMRI on a fan's while fans watch football and determine what really stimulates their pleasure center. What part of the game turns them on the most. With gamblers, it's when they lose that they register the most pleasure.— October 10, 2013 11:43 a.m.
Ask Greece about economic gains from Olympics
Use the homeless as stepping stones to fill the holes in the pavement that the City does not have the money to repair (sarcasm - least they actually adopt that policy). The NFL has covered up the traumatic brain injury issue. If I want to witness brain injury, extreme cage fighting is better than football. Americans, like the Romans, enjoy being entertained by violence. The stadium is a colliseum of modern times. They MUST have it or they will get a new Emperor. Football is a business, not a sport. OK, put me down if you will. That's my take. Aguirre says they will put it to a vote. Fine. Why not bull fighting?— October 10, 2013 7:55 a.m.
Sanders, Issa pump H-1B program
Qualcomm supports cheaper foreign engineers. That undermines the incentive for young students in the US to study science or engineering since H-1B workers will be willing to work for peanuts while US workers will be paying of student loans. Thanks, Bill Gates. Remember to ask Fletcher about how he feels about this issue.— October 1, 2013 6:49 p.m.
Ex-Qualcomm exec vp charged with insider trading
For short-term insider trading under 12(B) of the 1934 Securities Act, a purchase and sale or sale and purchase of securities within 6 month period automatically triggers scrutiny by SEC computers. The question is how investigators were able to relate the two brothers. Since there were short term profits on two or more transactions and a blood relationship with an insider, that would be enough to raise suspicion.— September 23, 2013 6:20 p.m.
Ex-Qualcomm exec vp charged with insider trading
Merrill Lynch (B of A) should not be doing these things.. This crime was probably between two guys who knew each other. Yet, we witnessed UBC, the Swiss bank, maintaining underground chambers for rich New Yorkers to stash cash. From my personal experience with the family .... Yes, could be, but this is on a small scale. Do they offer such services to big players? Maybe so. I would imagine that this is just tip of the iceberg. It would be wild if the U.S. Attorney went after cheaters. Probably a tip from an ex-wife.— September 23, 2013 6:08 p.m.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission finds fault with Mitsubishi's calculations on failed San Onofre generators
Founder, There was a finding of negligence by the NRC. The PUC hearing should result in rebates, not increased rates. It would be interesting to watch the hearings. The shareholders need to understand that nuclear energy is more expensive in the long run.— September 23, 2013 2:38 p.m.
Ex-Qualcomm exec vp charged with insider trading
Let that be a lesson to the big fish! We caught a small fry.— September 23, 2013 1:53 p.m.
