Giant sharks south of Ensenada

There is a permit required for all activities in any national biosphere in Mexico. That goes for traipsing about in the hills looking for fossils as well as fishing or whale-watching within the reserve boundaries which extend offshore. Though it can be tough finding permits outside of the whale watch and fishing operators, they can be purchased online and printed out from a PDF file. They are good for the calendar year. To each his or her own. Lots of folks love Mexico, but I reckon if I wrote about partisan politics or some other such divisive crud, there'd be more comments. Anecdotes on life in general, especially on positive experiences, just aren't that well commented on. There are a million U.S. citizens living in Mexico for good reason. Apparently, you gave enough of a s**t to voice your opinion. Thank you for the comment.

And that fast it happens: While I was writing the brief report, the New Lo-An was on their way. And they found them! They got limits of bluefin tuna for the 21 anglers aboard! Way to go, Cap and Crew! Crudo on a Thursday: out of the foie gras, but not the sea bass

Crudo means 'raw' in Italian, like steak tartare - or carne crudo. Crudo is commonly used as 'hangover' in Latin America. I agree, not a great name for an eatery.

Ocean Beach prices in Baja

Try Jardines in San Quintin, maybe Eucalypto. Parcel Doce is great for a buffet-style roadside dive in Pabellon. Cielito Lindo for the crab dinner. But a real good story on food might be a piece on Ron Gomez Hoff's oyster works, thier start up stand, his work in providing oysters to the market and even limpet research. Submit it to my Waterfront section right there in the middle of the Reader, then stop by and visit. I live on the bay just south of the Old Mill.
