The rebellion against clever baby names
White folk sure do have it hard. Either way, people, black or white, can name their kids whatever they want.— December 11, 2016 5:02 p.m.
You've got Rebel Alliances mail
Lucasfilm sued Dr. Dre for using the THX noise on "Chronic 2001" Maybe the studio will sue these guys as well. I would lolz.— November 7, 2016 11:42 a.m.
Vague words and catchphrases lure Millennials into buying
How ironic would it be if it was actually the case that Costco, of all places, was the spot where folksy old French bakers labored over perfect loaves all day?— October 26, 2016 8:30 p.m.
The unnerving man-bun craze
Power of the dark side of the man bun is a seductive power. Be careful, young skywalker.— October 26, 2016 8:28 p.m.
The unnerving man-bun craze
With some ray bans and an ironic mustache, that little Pippi girl could be the hipsterest evs.— October 26, 2016 8:27 p.m.
A variety of letters to the editor
Awww, c'mon, Phyllis. I don't deny that there are valid arguments in favor of the gratuity system...but table servers saying they deserve the money really isn't one of them. You might think they'd be a little bit biased. Imagine if I said to you, "Well, of course all the Reader readers ought to send me a little extra money each week. My job is super hard! The hipster deserves an extra 20%" Would you be persuaded? If you would, please send money orders (no checks, deadbeats) to the Reader office. Don't forget to put "His Hipster Eminence" on there somewhere. That's how they know me at the bank. Thanks!— September 15, 2016 10:20 a.m.
Intervene on a psycho’s feud with womankind?
OMG brah! Based on your understanding of the facts, you're 100% right! Buuuuuuuut, maybe you are making a key assumption here that makes it easy for you to say this. Anybody care to guess what uzumaki assumes? Also, you needn't Straw Man my words to prove a point on which we agree. I never claimed misogyny is a new thing, what I do claim is that the "Men's Rights" movement is a modern form of institutionalized violence against women that speaks for the angry little boys who feel the "PC" culture of the 1990s and 2000s has somehow wronged them. That's a very specific thing not rightly equated with the entire history of oppression.— September 2, 2016 8:40 a.m.
Lose the doofus Marine haircuts and the Smith Brothers Cough Drop beards
Mr. Mike Meyers: Based on current hipster trends, I predict (+/- 3 days) that bell bottoms will not be cool again till 24 July 2021, at which point I will already stopped wearing them in favor of ripped up 501s. That Smith Bro's reference tho...that's good.— June 1, 2016 4:48 p.m.
Hipster uses for that mystery room
The most gentlemanly closet, probably best filled with moustache grooming supplies and fine scotch. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2016/m…— May 26, 2016 11:42 a.m.
You never forget your first
A hipster b-movie classic at its finest. Only 9% on Rotten Tomatoes! Nine! I recommend an immediate, ironic viewing.— May 12, 2016 11:26 a.m.
