Just Tell Me What You Want
Oh, one of my favorite films, Less Than Zero, and Spader is right on in it. :) I'm sure you meant to say MacDowell light years BEHIND Gyllenhaal. ;)— April 25, 2010 8:39 p.m.

Just Tell Me What You Want
That trailer was tripping, I meant to mention that in earlier post! I remember the first time I saw James Spader, was in Pretty In Pink, he was so totally the part that he played. Then in Sex Lies and Videotape, his character was compelling. I saw him on television recently, he just doesn't seem to age or change. Will have to check out this movie, thanks SD!— April 25, 2010 3:56 p.m.
Simple Food
You know, I am loving the posts on this thread. SDaniels and her memories of too much Top Ramen, and the incisive comments re the Carls Jrs commercial which I completely agree with top to bottom (especially the mad cow part). nan sharing her memories of down home cooking with beans, and that wonderful recipe for red eye gravy, her associations of certain foods with certain eras and places. MsG and her memories of her working mother and mom calling home with orders to take out the meat (I can so relate to this because I used to call home and tell my daughter the same thing except it was "put it where the cats won't get it!") and oh my lord, the Shake and Bake for chicken, for chops. I would love to have some of your mean meatloaf! Surfpuppy craving tortilla chips, awwww! :) Just got done giving my granny a bath and washing her hair. The beef bone soup is simmering away, will be ready in time for dinner. A good Sunday, all in all.— April 25, 2010 3:49 p.m.
ya still have time to go to the Rodeo
Ooooh, nan, I remember the Lakeside rodeo from when I lived in Lakeside! Hope you have a good time! :)— April 25, 2010 3:35 p.m.

Nan, girl, my sister from another mother!!! Yep, the club days were a long time ago for me, too. But I sure do remember them well. :)— April 25, 2010 12:50 p.m.
