Well, there's one spot of good news. Paul Krugman finally admitted that he was wrong about Obama.

D'oh! I could have told him that, oh let's see ... the day he announced he was running for President. Krugman could have known it for himself had he bothered to check on the only big project Obama ever legislated, Chicago school reform, a total bust, according to the five year report. But, hey, better late than never.
My biggest joy is seeing how the Dem party is collapsing under the weight of their own stupidity. :) Change! Yeah, a change to a Republican majority of Congress.
The worst of all of this stupidity, of course, is the suffering of the people under this Administration, and the worst is yet to come. — February 22, 2010 12:49 p.m.

Kay, are we all ready to declare Bohemian Rhapsody the BEST SONG EVER INVENTED??? Even though I have no BR story, sadly ... my childhood was very deprived. Adam Lambert sang that for one of his audition songs, though, oh and that's Simon Cowell's favorite song. http://www.adamlambert.org/videos/adam-lambert-au…— February 22, 2010 7:24 p.m.

"Healthy" Expansion? For Whom?
"Obama has made some bad decisions (Afghanistan escalation) and some awful appointments (Emanuel, Summers, Geithner), but he is very intelligent and articulate, and understands the issues." You do get that you contradicted yourself there? "Think what it would have been under McCain/Palin. It's too ghastly to even contemplate." What?? You mean it isn't ghastly now?? Okay, let's see if I can respond to this FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME: Palin wasn't running for President, McCain was. Further, Palin ran a big rich state. Obama never ran a candy store. People don't have to be black, articulate, and Democratic to be smart. My own estimate is that McCain, who had the intestinal fortitude to stand up to his own party on campaign finance reform, among other things, would have done what the Democrats could never do for fear of being branded Commies and being voted out of office. But we will never know that now. In any case, McCain was who I voted for because I couldn't vote for who I wanted to vote for, Clinton, and wouldn't vote for Obama for every reason in the book.— February 22, 2010 3:47 p.m.

Touring Tijuana Bathrooms - Everybody's Gotta Go Sometime

Touring Tijuana Bathrooms - Everybody's Gotta Go Sometime
Tijuana defies explanation, as another writer on another thread explained. No, it's actually the content of the Reader, lately, that is depressing. jayallen's threads, for example, I can't read more than halfway through most of them. Barb's, the last one of hers I really enjoyed was when she had that wacky friend over and they played with finger puppets. Bauder's are interesting and informative, but then you get into these looooooooong comments and replies. Love Brizz, but he's hardly around. The movie and dining reviews are interesting reading. Glad Board is gone, the ceaseless flapping of those gums, my word! But at least there was something new posted every day. Wouldn't it be cool if they hired AG to write a pop column? She keeps up with all this stuff, and so frickin funny. In my opinion, the best reading are the neighborhood blogs, some of these peeps lead real interesting lives, if you know what I mean! But they don't post every day, I mean sometimes I come in here in the mornings and there is nothing to read. Nothing. So I look for comments posted from our little community because at least there I know I'm going to find something thought-provoking, intelligent, even entertaining. I miss Pike, and Adam/Stella, they always had really great stuff to say; Stella was amazingly insightful. And Daniels, I know you're busy, but it would be nice to get a thread out of you once in a while. Your blog's got cobwebs! AG does some great writing. Nan is great on any subject she chooses to write on. Instead of all that, we get these dreary, coarse rantings about Tijuana toilets and women in prison and rank cheesy hotels I can't bother to sicken myself reading, they read like the pathetic memoirs of a dying wannabe outlaw/cartoonist. Anyway, my take .... A famous author once said that "San Diego is the bland leading the bland." Reading the Reader lately, you'd believe it.— February 22, 2010 10:10 a.m.
