Dig a Hole: Jimmy Kimmel's Uncle, Frank Potenza
Why couldn't it have been Jay Leno and not Uncle Frank? Wait, Leno died in 2009, was buried at 10 PM, and then, in saviour life fashion, rose from the dead to take the Tonight Show away from Conan. Rest in peace Uncle Frank - in your short time on the air, you were infinitely funnier than Leno was in his entire career.— August 24, 2011 1:08 p.m.

That's it, I quit.*

John Waters Offers Advice to "The Loyal-to-Jerry MDA Kids"
Will the press conference look anything like the latter part of this video?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zSNoedMGnw— August 18, 2011 8:26 p.m.
Billy Crystal Ready to Return as Oscars Host
Bob "Animatron" Hope for Texaco, eh? That explains why during his visit to the newly-opened Berlin Wall in 1990 he kept asking a East German guard "Let me see your hat..."— August 16, 2011 6:45 p.m.
Billy Crystal Ready to Return as Oscars Host
Kirk Douglas was the best thing about last year's telecast - give him hosting duties. If not Kirk, the Academy proved that showing clips of His Holiness Hope still brought the house down with laughter. Imagine the buzz (not to mention ratings) - a virtual Bob Hope hosting for the 19th time! Get Dave Thomas to do the voice, cull every image of Bob from the Oscar telecasts and ALL of Bob's specials (including Vietnam!), and put those UCLA/Academy film students to work!— August 16, 2011 12:26 p.m.

40 hours? Thank God I don't have a Blu-Ray player... And I wanna tell ya, that screen capture of me is wild, ain't that somethin'? That's the gaze that drove Sally Fox out of her ever-lovin' mind! =CANNED LAUGHTER w/APPLAUSE - "THANKS FOR THE MEMORY" BEGINS= Thanks for the memory, Lucas wants more dough And now you'll have to owe $70 or more to see 40 hours of extra show George thanks you soooooooo much... G'night!— August 14, 2011 11:52 a.m.
Comedians Rally to Support Former Telethon Host Jerry Lewis
I'm guessing Shecky Greene did NOT attend the press conference (scroll to the bottom of this excellent profile of Greene to read why): http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2011/06/the-legend-…— August 13, 2011 7:41 a.m.
San Diego Film Critics Society Welcomes Three New Members
I feel like Claude Rains in "Casablanca": I'm shocked, SHOCKED! that Beth Accomando isn't on this list! Sadly, my newsstand doesn't stock "Gay San Diego". I did find a swingers magazine that featured reviews of "Who Killed Teddy Bear?" with Sal Mineo plus a look at "Cowboys & Aliens" and its homoerotic subtleties.— August 12, 2011 9:41 a.m.
Bootleg Super 8 Screener Has Howard Stern's Name On It
Simple solution: stop sending Howard screeners! And though Paramount reached out to apologize for the media firestorm, Stern said on his show "Don't send me any more movies!" Unrelated: Happy 59th Birthday to Robin Quivers, the colonic queen and whose breasts were once lovingly referred to as "carmel-colored punching bags" by a certain Columbia College Chicago employee.— August 8, 2011 8:10 p.m.
