Dig A Hole: Charles Napier, Russ Meyer & Jonathan Demme Staple
I first became aware of Charles Napier as Tucker McElroy, lead singer and driver of the Winnebago in "The Blues Brothers". His facial expressions as his out-of-control RV was about to drive through a barn are priceless. If you can find a copy, Napier gives a great performance in "Citzens Band" a.k.a. "Handle With Care" (1977) as the Chrome Angel, a trucker whose life on the road catches up with him. Napier's first film with Jonathan Demme. Another great character actor gone... RIP Chuck. Off to find a copy of "SuperVixens"!— October 8, 2011 8:33 p.m.
Simply Fine at 109!
What? No still of Larry circling his finger to his temple from "Who Done It?" "Shemp? Are you okay?": http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/data/818/w… http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/data/818/w… ------------------------------------------------------------ My two daughters were ganging up on my son over some minor trifle. The words and accusations were flying at my boy when he stopped the argument cold by yelling "SPREAD OUT!". I was never more proud of my son or parenting skills than on that day.— October 5, 2011 12:54 p.m.
Breakfast at Tiffany's Turns 50!
I've seen "Breakfast" twice and I agree there's a lot against this film. But the sheer power of Audrey and her image have won over the hearts and minds of many moviegoers. i.e. "Moon River". I hate, hate, HATE that song - a special place awaits Andy Williams in hell for warbling that tune ad nauseum. However, when Audrey sings (with her real singing voice - no thank you Marni Nixon), it's captivating.— October 5, 2011 12:43 p.m.
