Rock Church to Remain at Liberty Station
"Drive carefully", Yeah, that will happen. Like every other cult, after drinking the coolaid they are forgiven the rotten things they did all week and drive out with eyes blinded by the light, ready to go to their eternal rewards. Just watch the "courteous drivers" roll out of Horizon on Mt. Alifan. DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!"— August 26, 2012 11:35 a.m.

Time Out, My Identity's Been Stolen
The State required vehicle manufacturers to install speedos that would only go to 85. They figured that no one would try to go faster. It was a determined to be a bad idea, as speeders didn't know how fast they were really going and got into big danger. Am I doing 90 or 110? The makers were allowed to go back to whatever they saw fit after a couple of years. One more California case of legislation without investigation. Speedometer maximum limits have never been an indicator of how fast a vehicle can actually go, but what salesman want you to think it will do, and many erroneously read as much as 10% high. That fool doing 50 in a 55 may think he is speeding. The V-6 PVR engine was also used in Jeep Cherokees, and Volvos, until they figured out what a POS it was.— August 9, 2012 9:27 a.m.

Flying Wallet and Owner Reunited in Clairemont
Good job. If there is ID, pull the cash out and replace it with a note and a phone number, put a rubber band around it and drop it in a mailbox. Done it 3 or 4 times, one guy called me 6 months later, he had lost it in a wash in Ocotillo the night before deployment to Japan (with $600) in it. All the wallets found their homes, and they got their cash back after they called.— August 4, 2012 1:19 p.m.
A raccoon family comes to live with an Ocean Beach family
Property managment companies are also famous for letting properties fall apart, deferring maintenance that costs far more to fix when it reaches the point where they are forced to do repairs. Not what a responsible owner wants, nor a tennant.— August 2, 2012 7:44 a.m.
Cal Fire’s Mission Has Changed
I live in a forested area in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I pay $350 per year to my local fire district which has a year-round manned fire station 200 yards from my property. I have a 5000 gallon water tank and hoses. I keep my pine needles cleaned up. My State taxes already pay for CalFire. More taxes will not improve anyone's protection. It has been fruitless to protest Moonbeam's new tax, and it cannot be challenged until the bills arrive. The first move Moonbeam made was to pass legislation to place liens on properties that do not pay the new tax, even though they did not yet know how much it would be, or how it would be assesed. I am looking forward to following the lawsuits that will soon begin. This may seem silly to those of you I left behind at the beach, but imagine what would happen if the City was to impose a $150 per residence lifeguard fee on those within five miles of salt water.— July 26, 2012 5:19 p.m.
