Good Samaritans chase hit-and-run driver
A license plate number only gives the information on file with the DMV. The registered owner may have sold the vehicle or the current owner has moved and not changed the address with the DMV. Also the license plate does not place a person behind the wheel. The driver may or may not have been the registered owner. If the person driving the vehicle is the person that is the registered owner and the address is current it makes the job of locating the vehicle and driver easy.— September 23, 2018 6:40 a.m.
Oceanside's Firewater Saloon feels unwelcome
Be that as it my it still begs the question of not being able to spend $50k to fight the ABC. A closed bar looses its value as the "blue sky" drops. An operating successful business sells for more than a closed business. Still more to this story I suspect.— September 23, 2018 6:36 a.m.
Oceanside's Firewater Saloon feels unwelcome
The owners officially claim their bar nets $300,000 a year" Really? And they don't have $50k to fight the ABC? It is obvious that the owner has no knowledge of how the ALJ's work. The California EDD has ALJ's and they rarely rule in the favor of EDD. While they "work for" the EDD, AC, et al they are independent. I also doubt that the bar "nets" $300k.— September 22, 2018 6:41 a.m.

I-5 has the worst litter, 805 is second
All this worthless human scum cost the taxpayers millions of dollars from police departments spending resources to deal with bums to hospitals getting nothing for filling their emergency rooms with this trash to fire departments having to respond to fires. I am all for helping those who want help but the bums are nothing more that trash.— September 20, 2018 6:34 a.m.
Coronado Bridge photo final blow to 97-3 comedy radio
Entercom seems to be run by scum. I will not listen to any of their stations. Klein is the poster boy for scum radio.— September 20, 2018 6:30 a.m.
Thief writes note to self about plans
Why is this dirt bag not named? "P"? He is 21, the age when one is legal to do everything an adult is lawfully allowed to do. I am tired of the "but he is such a good boy" crap. Too bad stupid is not a felony. He should be prosecuted to the max and sentenced to the max. Just another white trash dirt bag which will spend the rest of his worthless life going in and out of the justice system all at the expense of the taxpayer.— September 19, 2018 7:46 a.m.
Soon-Shiong's Los Angeles-Sacramento-Fresno-San Diego Bee?

Uber glitch not paying drivers
Typical of the kind of business that requires their "contractors" to pay up front for everything and then wait while the "company" decides what money will be paid and when it will be paid. If missing a couple of payments from Umber results in fasting, as Diana Maras states, then Uber is not as lucrative as claimed. Most cab drivers rely in taxpayer funded welfare to augment their income from the greedy cab dispatcher companies.— September 17, 2018 6:29 a.m.
