Sandag causes my property to flood
SANDAG is just another corrupt arm of local government. It looks after the public good just like the CPUC does.— February 1, 2018 7:31 a.m.
Immigration policy, Vegas-style
Because like most Republicans he is greedy and enough is never enough. He feels entitled while attacking entitlements for the rest of us.— February 1, 2018 7:28 a.m.
Proposed settlement will cost SDG&E, Edison $873 million
It now appears that the San Diego Water Department is taking lessons from the corrupt SDG&E, Edison and the CPUC. The Water Department is charging their customers high water rates and inflating the water used. Of course the City of San Diego is one of the most corrupt cities in California.— February 1, 2018 7:26 a.m.
New SDSU president withheld email from investigators
But she is female and Hispanic so it does not matter as long as the appointment is politically correct.— February 1, 2018 7:18 a.m.
Rancho Bernardo gas at $4.19 a gallon
Ken Harrison: The picture is of the Chevron/Soapy Joe's in La Mesa; Jackson and Center Dr.— January 31, 2018 7:34 a.m.
Rancho Bernardo gas at $4.19 a gallon
Since the mid 20th century Chevron (Standard) has always had the highest prices. It makes no difference to Chevron that they have the highest prices and that they have few customers. At an intersection near me there are two gas stations. One is an Arco the other is a Chevron. The Arco is filled with people waiting. The Chevron has one or two customers. There are two kinds of Chevron customers: 1. Those who ran out of gas and coasted in and, 2. Those who are stupid enough to believe that Chevron has "special" gas and that it is better than all other gas. You just can't fix stupid.— January 31, 2018 7:32 a.m.
tronc to San Diego: drop dead?
It was ageism to the extent that they are old and rely on newspapers for news. I too am nine days older than dirt but have progressed to the point where I use various sources for news that is now and relevant and not on a newspaper which is reporting news that has come and gone.— January 31, 2018 7:24 a.m.
We All Counted homeless in Mission Valley
I am all in favor of helping those who want help (not handout) and who want to become productive contributing members of society. As far as I can tell the homeless fall into the following categories: 1. The mentally ill. They should be institutionalized. 2. Those who are on the street through job loss and/or loss of ability to afford shelter. 3. Druggies, drunks and bums who do not want to get clean or live by any societal norms or rules. We all have a moral obligation to help the first and second group of homeless. The bums should be given the opportunity to get right but if they choose not to then they should be written off as the worthless human trash they are. The more you do for bums the more bums you will get.— January 30, 2018 8:09 a.m.
tronc to San Diego: drop dead?
In the small enclave in which I live there is only one person that gets the daily paper and one that gets Sunday only. Both are nine days older than dirt and do not have internet. The San Diego (non)Union Tribune is yesterdays news today.— January 30, 2018 7:59 a.m.
Chicano Park conflict solvable with carne asada?
Patriot Picnic 2.0 is nothing more than a Make America White Again group just looking for trouble. Chicano Park has been around for decades. I have attended several gatherings there. Granted most of those at the park are Hispanic as is the neighborhood. Most parks reflect the people that live in the neighborhood.— January 30, 2018 7:56 a.m.
