Et Voilà arrives in University Heights
30th & Adams, and the area north and south of Adams, west to Texas St. is indeed in University Heights. Property owners in the vicinity can verify that by checking their property deed. The eastern boundary of UH is Boundary Street, not Texas St. as some would claim ( a bit like saying Kensington is only north of Adams, or Mission Hills only north of Ft. Stockton. ) See wikipedia articles on University Heights and Normal Heights. University Heights east of Park Boulevard is in the North Park Communiy Plan. See Figure 1-2 on the draft North Park plan for UH boundaries at: https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/nort… For a historic view, see https://www.loc.gov/resource/g4363sm.gla00147/?sp… (The above is a Library of Congress website; the City unfortunately does not make its digital subdivision data readily available). Note that Boundary Street , which runs diagonally down the map, separates University Heights from Normal Heights . Boundary St, was the eastern boundary of San Diego before Normal Heights and other areas east of the boundary were annexed in the early 20th century. The City staff approving community boundary markers has been neither consistent nor necessarily correct in its approvals. In the case of University Heights , the markers are wrong. All that said Et Voila is a great addition to the neighborhood. Wonderful brunch!— June 7, 2016 5:06 p.m.
