The Bombpops

Upcoming Event

The Bombpops

  • Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 7:30 p.m.
  • Soda Bar, 3615 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego
  • Age Limit: 21+

More

Since forming in 2007, The Bombpops have been through numerous lineup changes. The band originally consisted of singer-guitarist Poli Van Dam and singer-guitarist Jen Razavi , backed over time by at least three different drummers and six bassists. The band name was reportedly chosen when an ice cream van was passing by their then-drummer’s house, and the drummer ordered a Lickety Lick Bombpop, thus inspiring their moniker. Though Van Dam is no longer with the group, Razavi has maintained the band, as well as releasing solo singles such as 2023’s “Saw in Half.”
