The eldest son of Bob and Rita Marley, Ziggy Marley was twelve in 1981 when his father died at age 36. Taking on his family’s musical legacy, the younger Marley earned his first wide recognition with “True To Myself,” the lead single from his debut solo album, Dragonfly. He went on to win eight Grammy Awards and a Daytime Emmy, enjoying success as a solo artist and leading the family band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers until 2002, releasing eight albums with that group. His music blends reggae with blues, funk, and rock, and his lyrics explore themes of environmental awareness, social injustice, and self-empowerment.

Formed in 2015, Creeping Death is a death metal/hardcore band from Denton, Texas currently based in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. They released several singles and EPS before their debut full length dropped in 2019, Wretched Illusions. A follow-up album was released in 2023, Boundless Domain. Co-headliners Kruelty formed in Tokyo, Japan circa 2017, specializing in dark nihilistic death metal on albums such as A Dying Truth (2019) and Untopia (2023). The Linda Vista bill includes Upon Stone, a death metal band from the San Fernando Valley whose debut album Dead Mother Moon was released last year.
