Founded in L.A. circa 1992, Dilated Peoples is a hip-hop group featuring Rakaa Iriscience, Evidence, and DJ Babu, from the Beat Junkies DJ collective. Blending underground sounds with mainstream polish, the group is best known for their single “This Way” featuring Kanye West and “Worst Comes To Worst,” which was featured in the Need For Speed: Underground video game. The members split up for a period around 2006 to pursue solo projects before coming back together for their 2014 album Directors Of Photography. The bill includes Souls Of Mischief.

The Holo Holo Music Festival presents a weekend of island and reggae music taking place in Gallagher Square and on J Street. Billed as a celebration of music, unity, and Polynesian and reggae culture, the two-day event features food vendors offering vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, pop-up art installations, and various interactive experiences and product giveaway promotions. Musical artists scheduled to perform include Hawaiian music icon Josh Tatofi and island reggae band Ekolu, as well as J Boog, Common Kings, The Green, and Wyclef Jean from The Fugees.

Singer-songwriter Tab Benoit is a blues guitarist known for his distinctive tone and soulful Delta blues style. His numerous albums have earned him four Grammy nominations and five Blues Music Awards, including two BB King Entertainer of the Year trophies. He’s also actively involved in environmental conservation efforts, including founding Voice of the Wetlands, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the preservation of Louisiana's wetlands. This two-night stop on Benoit’s I Hear Thunder Tour features opening act GA-20, a Boston-based blues band formed in 2018 and known for re-creating traditional blues music with a modern twist.
