Pizza Port “Swamis” India Pale Ale has always been a favorite of mine and I make a point to hoist one passing Swamis (“Hops On The Harbor: Pizza Port Brewing Company, Morning Glory Brunch Frog Race,” Your Week, April 11). I have not had the pleasure of transiting the Coast Road as much as I used to. I now live in Bonita which has its good points. My Welsh landlord’s husband usually has a good beer on hand but today I thought I’d surprise him with a Swami’s IPA. Imagine my surprise when looking at the can the Indian snake charmer image has been replaced with a blonde surfer dude. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Over? What is so politically incorrect about the snake charmer image? I want to know.

Toni Atkins proved she’s just another tax & spend politician vs. looking out for her taxpaying constituents when she spewed out how a tax surplus could be spent, e.g. free college for students, giving money to people here illegally, inter alia (“The coming Weber-Gonzalez catfight,” News Under the Radar, March 3). Here’s an idea - either use it for paying down the huge pension deficit or return it to us taxpayers. C’mon, Toni....smarten up!
