Who Needs Halloween?

Mayor Faulconer pleads for cancellation

Faulconer: “First, there’s the matter of Covid transmission via Snickers, which is terrifying enough. But really: 2020 ought to make you question your whole attachment to a holiday that glorifies fear. Fear is terrible: it’s paralyzing, polarizing, incendiary, irrational — everything awful about the human experience, basically. Look at this year’s most popular masks, according to scream zone.com: covid zombie Trump, regular zombie Biden, violent left-wing Antifa radical, violent right-wing Q-Anon radical, global pandemic, local wildfire. Take your pick, but ask yourself, do you really need to celebrate scary stuff this year?

WHY does Faulkner want "cancellation" of what be "Halloween" ? For so long local bureaucracies rely on this (originally to be a kids) annual day of fun ---- for the local gvmnt's sake of REVENUE/TAXES. With the current Covid we are in, local bureaucracies are wanting to make as much revenue as they can earn. (vs) Now what this info that SDR report gives.
