47 Meters Down has girls and sharks, All Eyez on Me has rappers and racist cops, Beatriz at Dinner has a high-tension, high-end dinner party, The Book of Henry has boys and brutality and bullets, Cars 3 has Pixar’s sadness of aging, The Hero has aging romantic Sam Elliott, Letters from Baghdad has Gertrude Bell, One Week and a Day has people sitting shiva, Rough Night has a dead stripper, and Wakefield has Bryan Cranston pulling away from his loving family. Some are better than their predecessors, some are worse.

Band Aid, Dean, and Dawson City: Frozen Time don’t trigger an immediate association.
