Peter Sprague debuts the Sanctuary Suite at the Oceanside Museum of Art (704 Pier View Way) with Beth Ross Buckley, Fred Benedetti, Gunnar Biggs, and Duncan Moore. Tickets are $30 general admission, $25 students.

Wednesday 13
Gilbert Castellanos begins his double-duty evening at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) at 6 p.m. by hosting the Young Lions Series before switching gears at 8:30 to lead the jam session. No cover, no minimum… The Jazz 88 Blues Jam, led by Mark Augustin and hosted by J. Otis Williams happens at Proud Mary’s Southern Bar & Grill (5500 Kearny Mesa Road) at 6:30 p.m. Free, and family friendly… A cooperative group with Steven Leffue, Kjell Nordeson, Kyle Motl, Tommy Babin, Josh Charney, and Andrew Munsey play the Loft at UCSD (9500 Gilman Drive) 8:30 p.m. No cover charge.
