Business is booming for La Jolla lobbyist Matt Peterson, whose most well known client is failed GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his beachside teardown in the Barber Tract. Homeowner Peter Winn has retained Peterson to resolve a case of “alleged improvements remodeling without permits” at 5949 Madira Ave [sic] in Del Cerro, says Peterson’s latest lobbying disclosure filing. According to his website, Winn “is widely recognized as an expert in purchasing foreclosures, having been involved in over 1500 purchases and sales throughout California in the last twenty years.” In addition: “Mr. Winn owns an extensive portfolio of rental properties throughout California and Hawaii, in addition to owning a number of land development projects on Maui. He also operates two successful Boutique Hotels in Panama that he designed and built from the ground up.”
