Due to the Carlsbad Desalination Project, Las Flores Drive, between Grand Avenue and Mirada Drive in San Marcos, will be closed for a week.
KSD Construction manager Brendan Slagle said the closure is related to the 54-inch water-main pipeline being installed for the ten-mile-long delivery system.
When completed in 2016, the $300 million desalination plant (located at the Encina Power Station) will produce an estimated 50 million gallons per day to businesses and residents.
