On August 16 at 8 a.m., the first of 111 towers for the Ocotillo Wind Energy Project arrived via trucks passing through the small community of Ocotillo.
Traffic was halted as the trucks had to make multi-point turns to negotiate curves on SR-2.
The project is still subject to various court challenges sponsored by residents and Native American groups who are attempting to prevent the installations.

Thank you William. So sorry to hear what they insist on doing but beside the point, good story!
