Experience Jamaica

I love to cook and I love music, so when I think of Jamaica, the first thoughts that drift to mind are Jamaican jerk spice, Blue Mountain coffee, the sounds of steel drums and Bob Marley’s laid-back reggae.

Like other Caribbean islands, Jamaica is replete with sugary sand beaches, seductive sunshine, resorts you want to move into and warm, friendly people.

Jamaica is resplendent in culture and activities. Montego Bay is energized and alive, bustling with clubs, restaurants and endless shopping opportunities. Be sure to take the 1.5 km Heritage Walking Tour and learn the history of the sugar plantations and Spanish conquistadors on the island.

To see some of nature’s finest waterfalls and lush tropical gardens, take time to visit Ocho Rios and Dunn’s River Falls. Dunn’s River Falls & Park is open daily 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

At nearby Dolphin Cove, you’ll have the opportunity to swim with bottlenose dolphins, something everyone should do once in their lifetime.

You have to have at least one meal at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville restaurant in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay or Negril. Might as well make it a cheeseburger in paradise.
