The latest film festival in our local constellation is the inaugural San Diego International Children's Film Festival, April 8 through 10 at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park. The programs, targeted at different age groups, take place mostly during the daylight hours on the weekend: short films from around the world, with an aim to start widening horizons at an early age. Additionally, a feature-length Christmas fantasy, LeVar Burton's Blizzard, will be screened at noon on the Sunday, with the director present. Go to www.sdchildrensfilm.org for more.
