Vigil to Support Palestinian Hunger Strikers

A coalition of San Diego Arab, Muslim, and peace and justice organizations will hold a solidarity vigil in support of the ongoing hunger strike by more than 1500 Palestinian political prisoners demanding an improvement in their treatment and conditions in Israeli prisons. “We are holding a vigil to illuminate the plight of Palestinian men, women and children whose humanity is being crushed by the Israeli apartheid regime” said Doris Bittar, president of the San Diego Chapter of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. Participating organizations: American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, BDS San Diego, Karama, Palestinian American Women’s Association, Jewish Voice for Peace San Diego, Al-Awda San Diego.
