Tsunami Sweepers Cleanup
12600 N. Torrey Pines Road, San Diego, 92037
Spend the morning hunting for treasure washed across the ocean from the Fukishima, Japan earthquake and tsunami.
Researchers have identified pieces of marine debris making landfall across the West Coast from March 2011. Due to current and tidal flow, Torrey Pines State Beach has been targeted as the most likely beach to receive marine debris from the Pacific Rim.
Join ILACSD staff and volunteers at this unique beach cleanup. Info: [email protected] or 619-704-2778.
