Passport to the World: A Night in Hungary
200 Marina Park Way, San Diego, 92101
Situated on the eastern part of the Danube River, Hungary has been an Eastern-European powerhouse for intense and distinctly rhythmic classical music. The capital city, Budapest, sits squarely on the Danube, inspiration for art and culture for centuries as embodied in Hungarian composers such as Franz Liszt, Zoltan Kodály, Franz Lehár and Béla Bartók. Tonight, we salute the music of these artists. This Pops Goes Classical concert is sponsored by Norman Forrester and Bill Griffin.
