Flutist Daniel Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea, arriving in San Diego at the age of nine. He attended the Coronado School of the Arts in Coronado and then was a full scholarship student at the German State School of Music "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden, Germany, where he received a Bachelor of Music and Performance Doctorate. There, he was principal flute with the Hfm Orchester and Junge Munchener Symphoniker, and has performed as a solo recitalist in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, South Korea, and the United States.
Lee has taught flute at the Klassik Arts Music Academy in Scripps Ranch, where his wife Yuju Jung (also born in South Korea) has also taught.
