large striped seeds spreading round

flora roots in darkened soil

fauna scratches sweet Autumns toils

squirrels quick ply their trade

in mouthy pouches bursting

to holes in trees they're laid

hoarding ever high and deep

before it's time to go to sleep

to soon Summer is forgotten

while Crows grow fat on their ill gotten

and Blue Jays scream ecstatic glee

roasting soon occurs to you and me

salted tasty seedling treats

healthy hasty summer meats

but save some won't you please

so Summers Sunflowers never cease

Sunflowers aren't my favorite snack, but I do think they're wonderful to look at; top notch poem, nan.
