"The Gift Shoppe" to benefit Helen Woodward Society
Charity event tonight promises art, books, a raffle, sweet treats & more
If you walk into Whistle Stop Bar (2236 Fern Street) from 6-10pm this evening, do not expect just another quiet hump day.
Feral Factory Publishing will be hosting The Gift Shoppe, a book-signing, raffle, and art-auction charity event to benefit the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Co-produced by Feral Factory Publishing founder Billy Barnes and author Terryn Sundy, this event will also serve as a book release party for Sundy’s You’re Not a Ninja and No… You Can’t Spend the Night! and Barnes’ The World Through 8 Creepy Eyes.
The silent auction will feature pieces from artists:
Carrie Anne Hudson
Although there is no cover, a free raffle ticket will still be given to all in attendance with more tickets being sold at $1 a pop- all for the benefit of those shelter animals at the center in North County.
Raffle items are to include a $100 gift card to Burlap Restaurant, a 2-hour massage with Wyn Hoang, an Authentic Home Padres Jersey, a free photo shoot with 422 Photography and more locally-donated goods.
Patrons will also enjoy $1 off their libations until 8pm while munching on free pastries and desserts all to a soundtrack provided by DJ C. Wizard and DJ Bczar.
