Nonprofit organization San Diego Writers, Ink partners with Mingei International Museum (1439 El Prado) in Balboa Park for an interactive writing workshop called Expressions in Blue. This one-day class will be held on Saturday, August 18 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the museum. The cost is $60-72 and registration is completed online.
The workshop: "Using the Mingei Museum’s 'True Blue' exhibit as our inspiration and our Muse, we’ll work with 'blue' in a variety of exercises and explorations to create character sketches, settings, sensory evocations, and blue-influenced story situations. From all this will come the beginnings of a story or scene or the whole cloth of flash fiction. Working with prompts and props, Drusilla Campbell and Judy Reeves will guide you through the creation of something blue. Writers of all levels are invited to participate, fiction and nonfiction alike."
