Book retailer Barnes & Noble said today (Oct. 24) that customers shopping at 63 of its stores as recently as last month may have had credit or debit card information stolen, according to Reuters. Barnes & Noble said it had found tampering with one personal identification number (PIN) at each of the stores and by September 14 had disconnected the pads. The book chain advised customers who have swiped credit or debit cards at any of the 63 affected stores to change their PIN numbers as a precaution, according to Reuters. The affected San Diego County stores are: 2015 Birch Road, Chula Vista; 810 West Valley Parkway, Escondido; 2615 Vista Way, Oceanside, and 10775 Westview Parkway, San Diego.
