A two-year-old boy, Carlos Suarez, was killed after being struck by a car driven by an uncle. The boy had wandered from inside his parent's residence and out in to the street. The kid’s 33-year old uncle was backing an SUV out of the driveway, apparently unaware that his nephew was in the street behind him.
Family members rushed the boy to Sharp Hospital in Chula Vista where emergency medical personnel attempted to save him. They were unable to.
