will u cover baseball to??

St. Augustine are you kidding me. They have played the absolute weakest schedule in San Diego County. A school with that much tradition playing Clairemont (1-6), Mater Dei (1-6), La Jolla (0-6) and Serra (1-5) is an utter embarrassment to the alumni of their school. You reward that with a spot in the top 10. The only half- decent competitor they faced this season was Carlsbad. A game they lost 12-21, but were down in that game 21-0 after three quarters. I at one time had respect for this poll. Not anymore!

alright so you really lost all respect because the 10th ranked team? i think torrey pines should be higher but we all got different opinions. im sure you spend so much time going to a bunch of games and seeing the quality of all the teams. you probs just look at the box scores from each game. well theres only so much you can tell from a box score. “anthonygentile’ actually goes to a bunch of games and sees how quality the teams are. ill go w him

@PRiversofGold - For right now it is football and boys basketball.

@murdledd - St. Augustine hasn't played the toughest schedule, but each of their wins has come by an average of 36 points. With Scripps Ranch, Lincoln, Mira Mesa and Cathedral Catholic still on the schedule, the Saints starting this week will either prove they do or do not belong in the Top 10.

Anthony. The community appreciates the work you put into the high school football season. The fact is to get into the top 10 you should have a least one quality win. The overall record of STA's opponents they have defeated is 4-28. Once again 4 wins coupled with 28 losses. You use point differential as a (the) reason. Some would argue that running up the score is unbecoming of a football program, yet they seem to be rewarded here. Same situation occurred last year. They beat up their cupcake schedule and then got beat up in the Eastern League. The top ten should be a revered place for the best, not the weakest scheduler. Nobody can say, "hey they can only play who's on their schedule", because in high school football the head coach / AD schedules the first five opponents. All I'm saying is blowing out weak teams should not gain one entrance into the elite San Diego teams. You could argue with one or two half-quality wins, but.... As you said time will tell.
