The goalposts in the east end zone at Mission Hills High bend the rules and the definitions of uprights. The Grizzlies played their final home game of the season last week in the Division II quarterfinals, leaving plenty of time to straighten things out.

Serra quarterback Hunter Correll fires a pass over outstretched Point Loma defensive end Tevin Heyward on Nov. 10. In the Western League season finale, the Pointers crushed the Conquistadors 61-13.

St. Augustine cheerleaders from Saints’ sister school Our Lady of Peace help remind fans of the religious rivalry with the halftime banner at the 46th annual Holy Bowl on Nov. 11. The Saints fell 17-3 to Cathedral Catholic in a defensive-minded battle.

Helix linebacker Ernest Shipley (57) shares a laugh with Highlanders linebacker Rocky Fuga during a timeout in Helix’s 49-7 win at Steele Canyon on Nov. 10. Helix won its five Grossmont Hills League games by a staggering average of 48.2 points.

Mission Bay receiver JaQuan Madyun hauls in a touchdown pass in front of Hoover defensive back Micahel Picot in rain-soaked Western League action on Nov. 4. Were it not for a fortuitous shove by Picot after the catch, Madyun would have run over the person behind the camera.
