MONTERREY NL (Dario, 5/25/11) - Five alleged gunmen were killed by the army after a chase and exchange of fire in the municipality of Guadalupe, Nuevo León, military sources said. The event occurred around 5:20 p.m. when a military patrol drove up the avenida Adolfo Ruiz Cortines. The soldiers of the seventh military zone were in a marked van carrying armed men. They ignored orders, took flight and began shooting against the military. In their attempt to escape, the criminals hit a pickup truck traveling with a family of four, who were injured. The suspects’ vehicle ended up impacting a tree. Its five members were killed by the bullets of the strength of the army, on Dulces Nombres, in colonia Bosques de San Miguel.

JUAREZ, CHIH (El Mexicano, 5/25/11) - Merchants in the city center, met with the Secretary of Public Security, Julián Pérez Leyzaola, asked to rescue the area, but without causing police abuses during the operation.
