Mr. Marks thinks that "the raging romance between [Elizabeth] Taylor and [Richard] Burton is best left for some stargazing television hack to direct, not Marty [Scorsese]." Also that Natalie Portman "has far too much talent and not enough feminine pulchritude to play Liz." How about Mad Men's Christina Hendricks?

Hendricks isn't exactly an ingenue, but contra Mr. Marks, I think a dynamite picture could be made about Taylor and Burton around the time they did Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Hendricks certainly has the look. Does she have the acting chops?

Marks, that photo is terrible. Didn't yo mama teach you no manners?

Actually, my mother would be proud. Ma HATED Taylor for what she did to that nice Jewish Eddie Fisher.

nice Eddie Fisher...what a laugh...he was a peniledog taking advantage of a grieving widow and treating his own nice Jewish wife like a schmuck!!!

the bastard...he continued to be a bastardly womanizer long after Liz!!!!

definitely Hendricks...i think she has the chops!!!...and the brabuster figure 2...Burtons favorite meat...hahahahahahahaha ;-D

Somewhere in heaven Babe Marks is smiling. You should have heard what Ma had to say about Debbie Reynolds. I can't repeat it in polite company.

Thanks for the "peniledog." You made my day!

Hendricks could definitely do it

even Fisher was flat as a pancake in it!!

Her Oscar®-winning performance in B8 is dreadful, but if you really want to suffer...
