A Fear of Cold and Dark
Could it be, Goatwad, that the reason for such black and white charachters in fiction and non, boils down to the comparison of light and dark (not skin, foo). Some people are afraid of the dark, and for good reason: it can get so dark that one cannot see the danger that lurks beyond. Sometimes it gets so dark, I can't even see white people . . . ;o)))— November 10, 2009 5:34 p.m.
SDGE Lobbyist Said to be Innocent, Reinstated
Response to post #5 Honestly I could care less about the sex life of elected officials, unless of course it involves incredible hypocrisy or lobbyists, and this story rings both bells!— November 2, 2009 8:08 p.m.

Snow Skiing on the Big Island of Hawaii
The Saddle road is in much better shape than in years past, what the rental companies don't want you doing is driving to the top of Mauna Kea. The ski tour company will pick you up in Kona.— November 2, 2009 7:58 p.m.
Caught Inside
What a DRAG! Canes has been a great venue for great bands, and just 20 feet from the beach! I still have a poster on my bedroom wall that was stolen from the men's room. Oct 30th will be a saaaad day.— October 15, 2009 10:51 a.m.
Friday Night Frights Part II

Friday Night Frights Part II
If you're the praying type (and I'm not) pray for John. It would be wrong of me to go into detail, suffice to say, pray.— October 12, 2009 4:26 p.m.
A Day in the Life (of traffic court)
What's my best defense for fighting a ticket where I came to a 3-way stop, and the officer claims I "rolled thru it" (a ticket that's approx. $200) By JoshBoard The other suggestions are good, but this is what I've had the best luck with recently. Go to the clerk as described above. Room 206 or 207 (the one farthest north) I don't bother bringing bail but to each his own. Ask the clerk for a TRIAL BY DECLARATION. The clerk will give you instructions and all you need to do is take some pics of the scene and provide a reasonable written statement as to your innocence. The cop will be asked to do the same. Cops are paid to go to court, but they are NOT paid for trials by declaration.— October 8, 2009 10:43 p.m.
