Mice at Play
Barbarella - from reading your stories, you never struck me as the sneaky type. Not that you wouldn't try... I just can't see you being good at it. I'll bet that you were the "Hey, look at me!" kid. - Joe— July 29, 2009 7:36 p.m.
The Wait

I'm pretty sure that this amazing long link is the entrance to Little Blair: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Blair+Valley,+San+D… You have to drive in a good ways, there are campsites. I have not been out there in years. Here is a link on the pictographs: http://www.petroglyphs.us/photographs_kumeyaay_pi…— July 24, 2009 6:05 a.m.

My dad would take my brother and I out to a place in AB called Little Blair Valley. We would camp in Little Blair at night and hike east of there into a huge wash during the day. The wash would end where it hit bare rock, the water had cut path out of the rock. at the end of that there was a sheer cliff face about 75 feet to the bottom. From the top of the cliff you could see all the way to Mexico. There were rocks in the wash that had pictographs and those little holes where the Indians would grind grain. Can't wait until the boys are a little older and I can take them out there. - Joe— July 22, 2009 8:37 p.m.

I saw David Sedaris play the ECPAC a few years ago - he has the best dry sense of humor... went and saw Santaland Diaries at the Old Globe, too - what a laugh. I took these pix out in Death Valley about 17 years ago: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sandiegojoe/sets/721… I have seen the 26 gas stations pictures, but I didn't know who took them.. I grew up camping in the desert, the movie in Joshua Tree sounds like one of those once in a lifetime nights... - Joe— July 22, 2009 12:30 p.m.
