Those sound pretty damn good SD. I think that my friend that used gin in his sangria did something like this: http://wine.about.com/od/redwines/r/Partysangria.… only instead of 2 shots of gin he used 6. No strawberries either. - Joe— September 7, 2009 8:06 a.m.

Yeah, the 216 that is in my 52 is an inline 6 (they call them I6 or L6 - inline, linear)... I have a sickness when it comes to Inline 6s.. At one point I had: 3 - 225 Slant 6, 2 in '63 Plymouths and 1 spare 1 - Ford 223 1 - Chevy 235 1 - Chevy 250 Stay tuned to my blog - I have another L6 to swap into the '52. - Joe— September 6, 2009 6:47 p.m.

That is how it came from Chevrolet. It's not fast at all. Lots of regular vehicles had that setup. My '69 Chevy pickup was setup that way. 250 L6, 3 speed and 4.11s. Pretty Ok low end - really slow on the freeway. Not that I really try to get off the line quick with this drivetrain, it's just a cruiser. - Joe— September 6, 2009 5:13 p.m.
Stuck!
It still has the stock 216, 3 speed and 4.11 gears in the rear end. I can push it to 65 but that is really pushing it (hard). I guess in 1952 cruising at 40 or so was flying! - Joe— September 6, 2009 1:32 p.m.
Hell to the No
"Don't assume someone is not worth your time because they text. If you don't roll with technology, we might became one of those stereotypical bitter single women....and no one wants to be a stereotype." No, I can totally see her point. Real communication is becoming a lost art. Great story singleandawesome, congrats on the 3rd place! - Joe— September 6, 2009 12:59 p.m.

Magic - I don't think that there is a good bottled sangria - you have to make your own! Fresh fruit, secret ingredients, good wine. David - I like the heavy beers, too. On a hot day I usually go for an ice cold Mexican beer. Pacifico and lime. Modello Especial. Tecate is OK (never Corona). SD - It's morning! (1:37 am... insomnia kills, huh) - Joe— September 6, 2009 8:35 a.m.

A friend of mine uses gin in the Sangria he makes... dangerous stuff. Zero to dancing on the table in no time. - Joe— September 5, 2009 1:16 p.m.

I don't really like wine on a hot day. Good beer is perfect.. or Sangria!— September 5, 2009 12:43 p.m.
