La Jolla oncologist pleads guilty to importing unapproved drug
I am amazed that the FDA (not really) would stop any drug for cancer treatment, considering some of these patients are too poor to afford the "approved" drug, and/or dying without treatment. Isn't this why all those cancer clinics popped up in Northern Baja a few decades back? The FDA with all their red tape, (over paid bureaucrats etc.) are forcing people to look for alternate sources for treatment. I know I would.— January 24, 2013 9:02 a.m.

U-T and Port: Bring in the Clowns
Great article! My feelings about any tax subsidized boondoggle. I just cracked a rim on my car driving down Morena Blvd yesterday. How about the city spend our tax money on some infrastructure improvements.— October 12, 2012 6:39 a.m.
Vigilance of SDPD Volunteer Patrol Officers Due to Tiff?
Javajoe25 is right. I know that Metro towing has some kind of deal with the city. $300 he got off light (not to be callous). My brother had his car stolen in front of the downtown library about 20 years ago. It was recovered and he got a notice about 3 weeks later from Metro to come recover it. They had kept it to rack up the storage fees. A 1979 Datsun B200, and they wanted $675 in storage and towing. He said keep it. Talk about getting it twice.— July 19, 2012 5:22 a.m.
San Diego as ground zero in the fight against incivility
