A long exposure of the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
πΈThe spring is approximately 370 feet in diameter, 121 feet deep and is a temperature 160Β°F. It's also the 3rd largest hot spring in the world.
πΈSadly on August 2014 some idiot crashed a remote-controlled flying drone into the spring. Scientists are fearful that the sunken drone could clog one of Grand Prismaticβs vents or melt and permanently disrupt the bacteria in the siteβs microbial mats, which produce the brilliant colors.
πΈClimbed to the top of the mountain to the south to get this shot. 9β«4β«15
