Example of businesses getting loot paid for by MAD-assessed resident property owners: Alchemy Restaurant gets $800 bench, $400 ash tower for smokers, both shipped from Pennsylvania, all paid for by residents. The trash receptacle, also paid for by MAD assessments, cost many thousands of dollars, and it and the ash tower cost residents many thousands of dollars annually to empty and maintain.

These benches and trash cans were going in long before MAD came along. South Park Action Council was funding them...maybe still is?

I never saw YOU sweeping up cigarette butts in front of businesses like I have. What is your trip? You are not going to turn South Park into your Ayn Rand Libertarian paradise, so stop trying.

I'm curious: why do they put padlocks on the ashtowers? They're totally useless if they are not emptied regularly. Leave them unlocked and (hopefully!) the people desperate for a smoke will properly dispose of the extras in the trash cans. I know, I know; "Wish in one hand...."
