Sweetwater district teachers vote on strike
It has come to my attention that another item is asking for $400,000.00 to add to legal defense. These guys are too old to be the Me Generation. That's all it is, however. If they consider this a business and the students and parents as customers, the Better Business Bureau would not endorse them and other consumer agencies would close them down IMMEDIATELY!!!— March 14, 2014 8:11 p.m.

Thank you, Susan. You are always there for us. Come rain or shine or bully threats, we will be there to fight for what is right.— March 13, 2014 8:43 p.m.
Sweetwater district meeting marked by chaos
Fat, dumb and happy. I'm not going there, but certainly could. Bobby Boy Bully is gone but not forgotten, as this is the story of Eddy Brand gone rotten. Last night's meeting was quite something. Maybe the first time the message has touched a bit? I adore my little products. Most of us could go in the private sector and make a lot more cash, but we are NOT greedy grubbers like our big boss. We believe in education and students. We are not into self aggrandizement or pretending bling, in this case iPads, automatically makes students do better. The absence of leadership is tragic. The presence of scary bad leadership is even worse. Getting rid of Bleisch is a good step, but long strides are needed.— February 19, 2014 10:46 p.m.

Castle Park Middle School principal punches back!!
I listened a bit longer. Disgusting. I do not know when when teachers became villains. I am union strong. Corporate America has thug bosses worse than any union could ever imagine.— February 6, 2014 11:13 p.m.
Castle Park Middle School principal punches back!!
Sninequi is right about the SEA posts. I have to say, however, that that page is supposed to be a private group. While nothing on the internet is truly private, people do have a blind trust that they are protected. And in court, I'm not sure what would pan out on this. Ms. Luzzaro has been stellar in reporting the facts. She is my hero. I don't know her personally. Happy to agree with Shineqi that she is a journalist reporting nothing but the facts.— February 6, 2014 10:38 p.m.
Castle Park Middle School principal punches back!!
Nothing new on my post, except to agree with the others. SUHSD is ruled by liars, cheaters and thieves (wabbitsd). oskidoll is correct that the suits in SUHSD are not putting student first. Susan Luzzaro is my personal hero. There are some great principals, but others who rule by bullying and humiliating tactics. How does low morale among teachers help students? There are some bad teachers, of course. But, most are passionate about students and are not in it for the money. There are so many teachers who have doctorates and opportunities to work in the private sector for loads more cash. But, there is something intrinsically satisfying knowing that you are making a difference in people's lives. A friend of mine had to forcibly retire due to medical reasons. One financial benefit of retirement, she told me, was the approximately $8000.00 she now didn't spend on classroom expenses. This whole SUHSD situation is deflating. SAD.— February 6, 2014 9:58 p.m.
Sweetwater district corruption trial postponed
Malala Yousafzai's father knows the truth: "Ignorance allowed politicians to fool people and bad administrators to be reelected." I don't want to insult anyone, but too many people in CV don't know what's going on. Scrape the teflon. Talk to people in line at stores, in your neighborhood, parties, picnics, walks, etc…Every single time I tell someone who doesn't know, they are astounded.— January 27, 2014 10:23 p.m.
Picket at Sweetwater trustee Cartmill's home
SUHSD has alumni in both a Hall of Fame and a Hall of Shame. There are students who, in spite of this horrid situation, are succeeding. That's the way life rolls. It's the students who most need help who are being hurt by larger class sizes and low morale among teachers. PPVelma is right. Teachers are being targeted. I don't know when teachers became the bad guys? eastlaker, I'm thinking that EB/pals/cronies/co-conspirators simply have lost a conscience. How they can sleep at night is beyond me. Sigh. Feeling very sad.— January 20, 2014 10:10 p.m.
