Prices paid for San Diego public loos
Why can't we give "thumbs down" to posts? These are the very "people" who are trashing restrooms, using them as shooting galleries, or ignoring them to crap behind a bush... if we're lucky! Want a clean restroom? Go to a shelter. One of the things they probably need is volunteers to clean the restrooms. Contribute instead of demanding.— August 17, 2015 3:48 p.m.
Pala tribe cuts dissident members off rolls, including former tribal chairman King Freeman.
Kind of funny how a group of people, especially one that's supposed to be these proud, noble, wise stewards of the land, so quickly degenerate into a pack of savages quibbling over ancient nitpicks, all to help themselves to even more money. The more people who get "disenrolled", the bigger my check gets... but don't you dare disenroll me! So much for "pride". It's all about greed. Sad to see what were once fancy new houses surrounded by weeds, trash, broken-down 4X4s and dirt bikes next to brand-new ones, while listless groups of "natives" lounge around drinking and using drugs.. Just goes to show... poverty is not lack of money, lack of money is a symptom of poverty, and supplying money does not cure poverty.— August 13, 2015 12:55 p.m.
Roni met predator on Hot or Not
Mom was not so thrilled, “Once he sent the roses, I felt like he knew where we lived.” Really? REALLY? You "felt like he knew where you lived"??? Golly gee, what an epiphany!— August 12, 2015 3:38 p.m.
Roni met predator on Hot or Not
"The man asked for Roni’s full name and phone number right away, but she wanted to be sensible. She made him wait. After four days she gave him the information." Way to hold out! Maybe next time girls should wait a whole week before opening up to Internet strangers! If you see it on the Internet, it's BS. Any time you start to doubt that, just read it again.— August 12, 2015 3:37 p.m.
Morning mugging with an audience
We need CCW issuance reform.— August 12, 2015 3:34 p.m.
Disabled? You’re hired. Not disabled? Pretend you are.
When you put money on a table, people will come to pick it up. It's just like the handicap parking scam... it was started with the best of intentions, but has become a feeding trough for the sleaziest, greediest bottom-feeders to collect yet another free handout. Same here... instead of "providing jobs to the needy", it'll wind up providing jobs to the most depraved grifters out there, eager to lap up all they can while moaning about their invisible syndrome that doesn't affect them in any way except until it's time to park or get a union job. Won't be long before these "disabled" people are all suing, claiming that not enough was done to accommodate their condition and now they can't possibly be expected to work ever again.— August 12, 2015 3:33 p.m.
AirBnB, the elephant in the room
"You can't let people stay in your house for money! That's terrible! You're destroying the community! Oh, wait... you filled out paperwork and paid money to government? Alright then, carry on..."— August 12, 2015 3:26 p.m.

But they won't have any money, and the courts won't/can't toss them or their parents in a cell until they pay, we won't seize their welfare checks or any other property. They'll get a little slap on the wrist, a little probation, maybe a few days in jail, and then they'll be right back at it, laughing the whole time.— August 12, 2015 3:24 p.m.

How many people in OB believe that "tagging" is a "non-violent" crime that shouldn't result in punishment and prison, but instead with hugs and understanding? How many voted for AB109?— August 12, 2015 3:20 p.m.
Pernicano's out
Because a lot of people who have no skin in the game are eager to become the arbiters of how that property is to be used. "I've lived here for XX years, I want it to be the way I remember it, therefore you cannot build anything that will spoil my memories!" Suggest that they should buy the property so it can be developed "correctly", and they begin spluttering about how that's completely unreasonable, they can't afford that! They don't want to put their money where their mouth is, they want to put someone else's money where their mouth is.— August 5, 2015 8:48 a.m.
