Governor's future not as big as Texas
Where do I go to get state employees to comprehensively examine my property and deliver a 51 page report on what they find? There is approximately a 0% chance that Brown is telling the truth here.— November 8, 2015 5:48 p.m.
Papa Doug selling Rhode Island mansion
Huh?— November 8, 2015 5:41 p.m.
Free cell phones here
Disgusting.— November 8, 2015 2:22 p.m.
¡Rape Trump!
Why would Mexican citizens be so worried about US politics? How happy would they be to have the US inundating Mexico with our opinions of their politicians?— November 8, 2015 2:15 p.m.
Pain meds and another jail mattress denied
"Pfingst stated other conditions lacking at the Las Colinas facility, declaring that Harper’s sleep was unsatisfactory because mattresses there are only “a couple inches thick” and those rest on metal frames. Pfingst requested the judge order a second mattress for Harper." If that mattress is good enough for all of the other criminals, it's good enough for her. Want a thick, downy, comfy mattress? Don't commit crimes.— November 6, 2015 7:20 p.m.
Pain meds and another jail mattress denied
"Pfingst declared that Harper has not been receiving the medical care she needs for her “auto-immune issues,” and he complained that the jail nurse simply gives her a Tylenol in response to her pain symptoms." That's what jails and prisons should do for pain... "Here's a Tylenol, now back to your cell." Want better medical care? Don't commit crimes. No prisoner should receive better medical care than anyone who hasn't done anything wrong.— November 6, 2015 7:19 p.m.
They only want safe places to ride
If they want "safe places to ride", why do they demand "sharrows" on busy high-speed main thoroughfares?— November 6, 2015 7:15 p.m.
Talmadge wants to close access to Monroe Avenue
NO MORE EFFING BIKE LANES!!! Bikes do not belong on main roadways. They cannot keep up with traffic. Period. The vast majority of San Diegans can not and will not be riding bikes anywhere... cars are the only viable mode of transportation in this town for most of us. Period.— November 5, 2015 10:57 a.m.
Development-crazy on Chula Vista's west side
I thought we were in a drought, and were supposed to be taking "sea showers" with buckets and let our yards die and can't wash our cars. So how can anyone justify any new residential construction? Why is it "simplistic" and "not feasible" to say we should have a moratorium on new construction until water supplies are secured? If there's enough water for thousands of newcomers, then there must be enough water for me.— November 1, 2015 1:06 p.m.
The anti-Trump: open the border, wide
"We need to build affordable housing," he says. How? Where? With whose money? How much of it? What's "affordable"? Who gets artificially-cheap houses? What happens when we run out of "affordable housing" and there are still thousands of people who want more? This is the problem with the left... there's no consideration of reality. Emotion drives every decision. "Oh, nobody should be homeless, we should give EVERYONE a home!" How do we pay for that? "Make the rich pay!" What happens when they move away? "That won't happen, they have a social responsibility!" Why would anyone stay for a near-100% tax? "Because... because... well, just because!" All housing is "affordable" or it won't sell. And not everyone gets a mansion on the beach in La Jolla. That just isn't the way the real world works.— October 31, 2015 1:37 p.m.
