San Diego won’t be any more affordable next year
This isn't tough to figure out, flipper. Don't pay them to stay here. There is no need to "run <anyone> out of town"... just let them find a place where they can afford to live. I'm almost afraid to ask your argument against that, but... go ahead...— December 28, 2015 4:16 p.m.
Riprapped in the nick of time
"After applying for California Coastal Commission permits, work began on December 21" Did they GET the permits? The CCC, the City, the State, and everyone in between would be looking to burn at the stake any private land owner who used riprap to protect their property without having ALL of the paperwork and red tape and bureaucracy and massive fees paid first.— December 28, 2015 10:43 a.m.
With dollar signs recorded in his eyes...
I very much doubt it. A slap on the hand, a little probation, a little "community service" sullenly completed, and then back to his "non-violent" crimes.— December 27, 2015 11:36 a.m.
Goodbye Bieber, hello AC/DC!
DSC is still on the air? I was sure they were goners after being booted from KGB. I've always wondered how much they were raking in and what the offer was the sent them out the door, and what they had to settle for. Did that ever knock Rickards' ego down a notch or two?— December 27, 2015 11:35 a.m.
McDonald's commercial fooled me
Exactly. They have a particular clientèle, and that clientèle wants garbage. Their "experiments" are just more expensive garbage. You cannot take a process that produces a crappy product, tweak it a little, and produce a quality product. You'd have to scrap the entire process, but their process works for them... selling lots of overpriced crap to stupid people.— December 27, 2015 11:24 a.m.
McDonald's commercial fooled me
They can choose... bums, or paying customers. I will not patronize any establishment where I have to be accosted by angry, stinking bums trying to con me or outright demanding money. You're free to open a restaurant and cater to the poor, misunderstood, downtrodden homeless and see what kind of success you get. This is America! But I won't go, and neither will most other people. Where should they go? I don't know, just not where I am.— December 27, 2015 11:21 a.m.
McDonald's commercial fooled me
It's McDonalds! WTF did you expect??? *NOTHING* can make their food palatable.— December 27, 2015 11:20 a.m.
Chula Vista condo plan misses mark again
Who's "we"? I don't. I'm an American, period. Why do you feel some need to qualify that? If you're finding "racism" in what I said, it's because you're desperately looking for it. I bet you see "racism" everywhere, and are one of the Chicken Littles who helps provide a smokescreen for what real bigotry is out there.— December 23, 2015 8:47 a.m.
San Diego won’t be any more affordable next year
That's OK, we'll still hear about how we need to crowd a few thousand more "low income" people into San Diego, and then pay more for less water 'cause we're in a severe drought, right? We really, REALLY need to stop subsidizing people who cannot afford to live here. Let them move to just about anywhere else with a lower cost of living, get their junky cars off of the roads, ease the pressure on housing, and save millions for welfare we don't pay any more. Everyone wins.— December 23, 2015 8:42 a.m.
Attempt to print something of quality
I wonder if Al Weiss wishes he's just gone out and slashed or removed the covers. I know I would if I figured they would wind up flooding my property.— December 23, 2015 8:39 a.m.
