Body of Lies
"This is more important than the Coens rehashing themes of human folly." But this is the key, young Padawan. It is the reason we are in this mess. Human folly.— March 19, 2009 2:44 a.m.

Wild and Woolly
joshb, You think this grammatically challenged individual is Duncan? Or even his friend? The use of "ignor ance" is one clue.— January 30, 2009 4:42 a.m.

2008: The Year in Food
Remember that show “Blind Date”? One particular scene will always stick w/ me. This pretty and cool and kinda mean chick (“I’m so over it!”) gets paired w/ a guy who thinks he’s also cool but is not. She does a lot of eye rolling when he’s not looking, and he’s trying to figure how he can get out of this. Then he pulls out his story of “this time” he went to “Frisco.” She fires on all cylinders. It’s painful. Wonderfully so, b/c he WAS a bit of a douche. Paired up with a harpy. Good stuff!— December 31, 2008 6:55 p.m.
The Reader is premiering a new issue size this week! What do you think of it?
Was at three places this evening that carry the Reader -- no Reader.— December 10, 2008 7:55 p.m.
They Had Great Text by Katie Reese
“The dysfunction was all on his side”? Not once do you say that he was funny or interesting or kind or smart. You didn’t know him. You liked the money; he liked the booty. How did you think it would turn out? Miss Reese in her comment would like us to believe that she had it all figured out the whole time, but it doesn’t sound like that in the article. It sounds like she fell in love with the money and naïvely hoped a good-enough guy would accompany it.— November 8, 2008 1:27 p.m.
Page to Quit Recording
"Gregory Page says: I am not quitting playing music live, only stopping recording myself and others." This is true? Would've been nice if this had been made clear in the Blurt. "I am still playing monthly at Lestat’s West and planning to tour next year in promoting my final album..." Again, good to know.— October 23, 2008 5:40 p.m.
