You can bump pics against type, or shift type to the left or right, or insert a pic into text field with text wrapping around pic, change text size and fonts, and all sorts of fun tricks 'n' tweaks - plus, after you've seen the resultant codes a bunch for "shift," "boldface," "italics," and such, you'll be able to code graphics and custom text into your blogs with your eyes closed - I'm not seeing many "red X" placemarks where photos once sat - other than occasional hotlinked pics to other sites, where the original has been taken down, blocked, or the originator's online pic account has lapsed. I usually stick with using pics that are saved and html coded the same as the non-blog Reader pages, often using the above-linked code generator for more complex presentations.

That's So Un-Punk
Both Vinnie and Julius can confirm they contacted me awhile back with their respective stories, before anything about it was published anywhere. I wasn't aware the situation was subsequently mentioned in City Beat, but then certain bylines cause me to skip reading. Now that I look at City Beat's purported "coverage" via comment link, I see Vinnie wasn't even quoted (only Julius). Our Blurt account is clearly far superior and better balanced. Better to tell the WHOLE story, instead of rushing to press with a one-sided superfluous account --- posting a link to a poorly written blurb, by way of comparing to an excellent Blurt, is yet another flawed move by the party responsible for both embarrassing misfires.

Rolling Thunder
When I saw this new in theaters, I was shocked at how quickly scenes would go from laconic to explosive, and then back again - it's a very seventies kind of film-making but, all these years later, it all seems a bit dopey. Devane is the only successful casting choice in the whole movie, tho that still kinda leaves him the fattest grouper in a dirty fishbowl --

Rolling Thunder
Cross Taxi Driver with Rambo/First Blood, and that's Rolling Thunder. The bordello shootout is so evocative of Taxi (released a year earlier) that it almost seems like footage for both movies was shot at the same time. The later Rambo flick (1982) shares more theme than scenes, but Sly's movie didn't sweeten the pot with a wonky supporting cast like (young) Dabney Coleman, (younger) Tommy Lee Jones, and the Dukes of Hazzard's own bumbling Sheriff Rosco, James Best...on steroids.

She has no idea how much she and our cat neighbors think alike ---- great post! RE photos in blogs, I recommend this code generator - http://htmlcode.discoveryvip.com/ You can bump pics against type, or shift type to the left or right, or insert a pic into text field with text wrapping around pic, change text size and fonts, and all sorts of fun tricks 'n' tweaks - plus, after you've seen the resultant codes a bunch for "shift," "boldface," "italics," and such, you'll be able to code graphics and custom text into your blogs with your eyes closed - I'm not seeing many "red X" placemarks where photos once sat - other than occasional hotlinked pics to other sites, where the original has been taken down, blocked, or the originator's online pic account has lapsed. I usually stick with using pics that are saved and html coded the same as the non-blog Reader pages, often using the above-linked code generator for more complex presentations.— February 25, 2010 noon

Both Vinnie and Julius can confirm they contacted me awhile back with their respective stories, before anything about it was published anywhere. I wasn't aware the situation was subsequently mentioned in City Beat, but then certain bylines cause me to skip reading. Now that I look at City Beat's purported "coverage" via comment link, I see Vinnie wasn't even quoted (only Julius). Our Blurt account is clearly far superior and better balanced. Better to tell the WHOLE story, instead of rushing to press with a one-sided superfluous account --- posting a link to a poorly written blurb, by way of comparing to an excellent Blurt, is yet another flawed move by the party responsible for both embarrassing misfires.— February 25, 2010 10:37 a.m.

Rolling Thunder
When I saw this new in theaters, I was shocked at how quickly scenes would go from laconic to explosive, and then back again - it's a very seventies kind of film-making but, all these years later, it all seems a bit dopey. Devane is the only successful casting choice in the whole movie, tho that still kinda leaves him the fattest grouper in a dirty fishbowl --— February 18, 2010 7:12 p.m.
Rolling Thunder
Cross Taxi Driver with Rambo/First Blood, and that's Rolling Thunder. The bordello shootout is so evocative of Taxi (released a year earlier) that it almost seems like footage for both movies was shot at the same time. The later Rambo flick (1982) shares more theme than scenes, but Sly's movie didn't sweeten the pot with a wonky supporting cast like (young) Dabney Coleman, (younger) Tommy Lee Jones, and the Dukes of Hazzard's own bumbling Sheriff Rosco, James Best...on steroids.— February 18, 2010 1:15 a.m.
