Week in review: Sweetwater Union High School District
Helen, Brand knows but doesn't care. I believe you let the cat out of the bag, watch your back gal. I wonder how many students are in our Grand Canyon classes?— June 30, 2013 12:38 p.m.
Sweetwater runs afoul of state Public Records Act
Sounds like business as usual in Sweetwater. Hopefully only a few unsuspecting students and parents will be financially hurt by the Alliant scheme. Then maybe the DA's office can take on Fast Eddy. Too bad it has to go this way,but there has to be victims before action is taken.— June 28, 2013 6:31 p.m.
Sweetwater runs afoul of state Public Records Act
anniej, the reason people have not received the contract between the district and Alliant is because Brand doesn't want people to see that it was a done deal. The gorilla has spoken. This behavior is only going to worsen. Brand's had the support of the majority of the board all along. You would think that Arlie would have had a conflict of interest in this matter but she doesn't care as she will assist the district in pillaging the pockets of these unsuspecting parents. Seniors are the only students that can get student loans. Hopefully the parents will do comparative school shopping, but alas SUSHD has become a business. I heard there was a mtg on the district's property yesterday. Does anyone know about this?— June 26, 2013 12:09 p.m.
Sweetwater trustee reports stolen property to police
BBQ, Glad your back. We missed you at the board mtg.— June 20, 2013 3:21 p.m.
Sweetwater trustee reports stolen property to police
Good ideas instead of anger. I like this idea.— June 19, 2013 2:59 p.m.
Sweetwater trustee reports stolen property to police
You are correct thank you for brining it to my attention,I was about be ugly after reading the comments. Then read yours, we all need to stay mindful and above the ignorance.— June 19, 2013 2:54 p.m.
Sweetwater trustee reports stolen property to police
Just another monthly board meeting. It's become comic relief on a monthly basis. You could tell Bertha was missing nothing was questioned. The votes were 4:0 instead of 4:1. The curiosity was that the agenda was not completed but the mtg. was over before 10 pm. The board was probably tired from pushing the green (agree with Brand's button) It's hard to believe that the County Office of Ed. has not intervened but then they were aware of this mess along time ago. I bet the surprise guests were shocked. Four police cruisers over a $5.00 sign. Thank God there was no real crisis in the community. Do the police respond to this because McCann was a CV councilman? Maybe the Mayor needs to tell the police to exercise discretion when they get a call from the tantrum throwing McCann. His behavior appears to becoming more and more erratic kind of scary. If McCann abandoned his post in the military even though he is a supply officer he would have been in big trouble. But it only goes to show that our students take the back seat to his erratic impulses. I'm still in shock.— June 19, 2013 8:28 a.m.
California Public Record Act decimated by recent vote
1-916-445-2841 Governor Browns office. The wait to speak is 2 mins to speak to an aide and express your feelings. The Governors aide told me that he was aware of the largest corruption case in the history of San Diego. I told him how the public records were secured through the Public Records Act. Come on people this is too important to let happen.— June 18, 2013 12:46 p.m.
Sweetwater board candidate has his sign damaged
Oh, what comedy or more likely delusions of grandeur. After hearing about your job loss I can understand your erratic emotional behavior. I also know those political signs that you put out during graduation to remind people who you are can be costly. Ido not want you to suffer that loss on top of your job so I want you to know that I delivered them to the same place that you had ours taken.— June 12, 2013 5:25 p.m.
Assemblymember Shirley Weber holds Budget Town Hall in Chula Vista
Disturbing having Sweetwater in this role. The distrct jus got hit by the state and Feds on their shoddy bookkeeping and misuse of funds. The Catagorical funding just finished their audit. Take a look at the findings. The dist was given a time frame to show receipts I believe it was for lunches by parents and staff. The district didn't do well yet they believe they will be able to spend catorical funds else where?— June 12, 2013 7:14 a.m.
